Weekly specials, live music, beer and wine, patio dining, movies on the lawn, beautiful gardens, a made-from scratch gluten-free bakery, and gift shop make this a one-stop Hill Country destination.
The Ridge Marketplace is comprised of three main pieces... the Cafe, the Wild Flour Bakery and the Garden Nursery. They have a nice large parking lot to ensure everyone can park and it's really a scenic little spot. My friend and I went to the Cafe and Bakery to get coffee, water, cake and pie... everything was great. There is indoor seating and live music on the weekends, but there is also plenty of outdoor seating within the nursery/ green space! The food is delicious and the ambiance of this place is equally as good.
The next time I paid it a visit, I brought my wife and we enjoyed looking through their huge garden center with very healthy plants. Combine that with a great restaurant? Awesome. Add a scrumptious bakery and a gift shop with lots of green spaces to relax, and an outdoor stage for concerts? Incredible! All the employees were friendly and helpful. I had never seen 6 of the 8 different lantanas they had. Unfortunately, I didn't buy any of the lantana, and the wait at the restaurant was so long, my wife didn't want to wait, so we strolled the whole property before we left.
We both found this place to be relaxing and somewhere that we'd like to visit again. The gift shop also had a lot of locally made goods that were very unique and cool finds! This charming cafe is part of the entire Ridge Marketplace, a shopping center that also features a bakery and enchanting fairy garden. From chicken-fried steak to fluffy buttermilk pancakes, everything is made from scratch with fresh, local ingredients. Young ones love the kids' menu, and live bands perform regularly.
